Following his Headline speaking slot at The Valuer's Conference 2025, Adrian Hailwood will be presenting a half-day workshop looking at the most common concerns around watch authentication. This introductory session will look at the required mindset, the tools and skills necessary to authenticate a watch.

We will discuss the information required and tackle the long-standing issue of whether you need to open a watch to value and authenticate it.

The latest counterfeit releases from China will be compared to their authentic counterparts from Switzerland and we will discuss just how close they copies can get, along with how you approach a watch that may be a mixture of original and replacement parts.

Buying, selling, or valuing a watch that is not authentic can be a major loss of revenue and reputation for your organisation. Every extra pair of eyes that knows what to look for in a watch could save your business thousands of pounds each year.

This will be an interactive hands-on session with the opportunity to inspect and open a range of fake and ‘Superfake’ watches.

Those attending the workshop will also be eligible for a 10% discount on all training courses listed on www.thewatchscholar.com.
