• Movements: how they work, their history, development, features, and benefits, including hand-wound mechanical, self-winding, electronic, quartz, kinetic, and spring drive

• Materials: what the different parts of a watch are made from, their features and benefits, and how this has changed over time

• Case features: Snap backs, Screw backs, Screw-down case backs, Screw ring case backs, Front-loaders, HEVs and Water resistance
  
  
• Basic complications: Date, Day Date, GMT, and Chronograph
  
  
• Dive Bezels and Tachymeter Scales
